You might say that I'm very literally minded. That would be the nice way to put it. Some have said in the past that I have no sense of humor, and I know for a fact that's not true but I understand why they said it. I'll try to be less opaquely sarcastic around you. as I've said before, I have a tendency sometimes to say offensive things because they're so unfunny that I end up finding them funny again. It won't hurt me to curb that.

Like I said, I don't really mean for anybody to change their behavior, I'm just trying to make sure folks understand what happens when things go wrong.

I haven't had the chance to interact with you, live, in-person, for far too long. I remember your very dry wit (love!) but don't recall that you are particularly literal. And I know that you are extremely smart and very funny.

Are most of your misunderstandings occurring online? If you haven't interacted with certain people (like some of our mutual friends) for as many looonnnngggg years as I have, it is tough to see that they communicate almost exclusively through obscure pop culture references and non sequiturs. Most of which fly over my head, actually. So please do not feel like you are alone in this.

Sorry this is so late. Work's kinda eating my brain this week. Anyway, if it's ever me, just shoot me an email or pull me aside and say something. I'll definitely clear it up. :D I try not to be mean or anything, even when I'm trying to be funny. I understand about the missed movie/tv references. I don't get most of them either. It is wonderful how all you guys have tons of shared history and in jokes tho. I didn't realize how much I missed that until Steph came to visit. :D I agree with smoonn. You are extremely smart and very funny. :D

I don't think it's happened with you yet, and honestly I don't expect it to.

With the tv/movie references, I'm getting better at recognizing them for being tv/movie references, so that's not so much the issue. And I'm trying to learn to/getting better about asking about those.

I hope work stops eating your brain soon!
