If you bake a sugar cookie, and put nuts in it, do you still call it a sugar cookie? No. So why is it so common to make "Chocolate Chip Cookies" that have nuts added to them? They aren't chocolate chip cookies anymore, they're chocolate chip cookies with nuts >_< I hate nuts! (except peanuts, which technically isn't an exception) If I wanted ( Read more... )

Because the only thing more disgusting than cookies are cookies with chocolate chips in them. To further up the disgusting factor, you can add nuts.

People like disgusting foods :P

I used to not like nuts in cookies, but now I've started to like the idea of nuts in cookies. I think my mom's poor cooking was part of the reason in the first place. Rock hard burnt chocolate chip cookies with big chunks of walnut... That's all we had, we didn't have the $$ for Chip's Ahoy, and she always liked to add nuts to her cookies... >_>
