I came across this article today and was moved to respond to the author. I think it's time I speak up a little more rather than simply dismissing them. As pointless as it may be explaining my view to someone like this, I'd feel even worse if I simply gave him and others like him a pass. It's not until we all speak louder and more often that

Excellent response to his article.

And you make very good points! It is the PERSON who decides to be moral (like your ex. how Christians choose to ignore the crazy laws in the Old Testament) not the person's religion. Plenty of people act immoral either in the name of religion or in spite of a religious upbringing.

I'm actually moved to finish reading the bible and especially the old testament just so that I have all the ammunition when it comes to refuting it.

Contrary to what it may appear lately, I don't usually center every update around attacking christianity... It's a strong interest of mine but I usually just write about my strange life and the strange thoughts that go through my head!
