That was fun....well in places. Got up on Saturday morning for GP qualifying, went to Tesco and then......well, I don't quite remember. Came down with a headache late in the day and never made it to Slimelight ( Read more... )

IIRC Daniel Myer first played with Covenant at Summer Darkness 2007...

They didn't play One World or Call the Ships in Manchester either. Perhaps more of a connoisseurs set over a Greatest Hits. I enjoyed them though and they were much better than I was expecting.

So London got 'Call The Ships' instead of 'Dead Stars'. I think their set was about 3 songs shorter than it normally would have been (Covenant usually do 90 minutes sets when headlining).

Actually, I haven't heard them play 'One World One Sky' for quite a few years now.

Apparently there's new security at the Leccy Ballsup - which meant that punters with tickets/punters collecting tickets/punters without tickets and punters on guest list seemed to be shunted into the same queue and only let in after a debriefing that would put US Customs to shame..

The bands couldn't sound check until the market had been dismantled; there was a lot of nothing-apparently-happening-at-all when something could have been gotten on with.

Thankfully few peeps saw me walk on stage to sort my setlist and water only to have the lights go down and intro start.. not the most auspicious of beginnings that. We had an audience by the end of the cut-down set, even tho we had no idea what they were hearing. I think Tim summed up what RBN could hear rather well - "jack shit"..
