I've been placed in many situations over the course of 2 weeks where my expectations of both people and situations have fallen short. If you feel like that is best for you, then you should do it. I myself have had a horribly bad time as of late and livejournal is kinda my outlet to vent and get some of the negativity that's lingering inside of me out in the open.

And talking to people is a two way street. I've learned that you can't always expect other people you want to associate with to come up to you. It goes both ways, you know?
