I just came back from the revival of the Sabbat LARP in NY.... HOLY FUCKING SHIT! I have never seen such a well oiled, responsibly ran, responsibly played, full of intense RP 1st game for any LARP EVER! Hands down, Kings of New York came back with a vengeance to be a phenomenal LARP. I took pictures and you can just see, how hardcore everyone is ( Read more... )

Just a tiny bit north of Westchester since we wanted to start building up money for site fee's (and the place we played at is free cause one of the guys has a really good hook-up.) But the place were playing at is huge, we have an actual wait staff that serves us food DURING game, I'm not exactly sure we WANT to move the game to NYC even though it was originally planned to be physically OOC'ly in NYC once we saved up cash to do so.

Why didn't you tell me about this? I told you to tell me when it was being run!

Sorry, I had to take my car in for repairs so I had to go with others who had no more room in there car (I promise... I'll reserve you a seat next game in my own car.) You had Neil.... Apparently Neil could get rides from others though! So I guess I don't need to worry about him riding with me.

Trust me, I felt guilty as is not being able to invite the people I wanted to originally travel with me.

I don't know what game you were playing, but I was trying hard not to fall asleep. It was a lot of waiting around for something to happen, followed by the 8:00 monster which was easily taken out by ridiculously powerful characters before the rest of us could do much of anything, followed by an extended, ultimately pointless dick-waving session. Meh.

That's not fair to say, you isolated yourself from most of the players by playing the Loner Gangrel most of the game. You can't be upset at not being involved if you didn't even try to get into a pack. (The Sabbat is EXTREMELY pack oriented setting, not individualistic)

I did try to get into a pack, but because my character was designed for stealth, not combat, nobody saw any use for him and left him out.
