100 Billion Pounds... mwahhahahaaa

When did a billion become a thousand million? I was always told that was American and us Brits actually used it to mean a million million.

So when the beeb tells us that Overall benefits spending runs at £109bn a year I'm pretty sure it's not saying that every single person in the country gets, on average, about £2,000,000. Or am I missing out? ( Read more... )
