I've been thinking again about an iPhone or Android, but in either case I don't want to pay $40/mo for the phone part when I won't use more than a few minutes a month. :-( I'm happy to pay $30/mo for unlimited data since I expect I'd actually use it. So far my searches have found no way to get the same phone/text pricing I have now, which is prepaid minutes at 10c/minute or 5c/text.

Yeah, I tend to think of it as "is this total cost worth the price", and the answer for me so far has been "absolutely yes". I use my phone all the time. It sounds so cliche, but it's really changed how I do things day-to-day, and I like the way it's done so.
