Yaaay! This fits perfectly with my evil plans for my WIP. I'm currently 35K into a YA novel and am shooting for a completed 60K draft and if possible a first revision round by December 1. I'm on WordPress (http://kiperoo.wordpress.com/) but I'll send my posts to you to participate.

Yay Kip!!!!! Do you want me to use your full name on our list of participants, or "Kiperoo". Either is fine.

I'm so glad to have you join us!

Me, me!! *raises hand*

I'm in! I think this is my 4th JoNoWriMo. I am totally up for this and have been WAITING for Jo to post something. ;) Thanks so much, Jo.

I have a ton of work, but for once I am going to name just ONE goal for JoNo this year:

I have to finish - I need about 50,000 more words - the draft of Moth #2. (This is the sequel to Falling to Ash.) And revise it into good enough shape that my editor can read the ms. It's due mid-December.

Good luck with your goals, everyone! I hope there are tons of us.

Kaz

My goal this year is to polish a draft of my new WIP and submit it to my agent and editor (due in October) and to begin work on a new middle grade.

Go team!

Those are both GREAT goals. You can do it, Jo! The new middle grade novel sounds exciting. :)

This is my 2nd JoNoWriMo--last year's challenge helped me integrate writing into my daily routine.

I had my daughter, Matilda, in January and by June I was back in my writing groove. However, I've spent a lot of my writing time doing prompts, journaling, and blog writing. I keep managing to find reasons why it's not a good day to work on my WIP. So, for this year's challenge, my goal is to work on my domestic horror novel (or short story collection--we'll see how it shakes out) every day. No more hiding behind writing exercises.

I'm so excited to be a part of this community again.

Thanks Jo!

Good luck, everybody!

So impressed that you're writing again so soon! My daughter was nearly a year old before I got back to writing - and even older before I was making regular progress on the WIP.

Wishing you lots of luck!

I think this is my 4th JoNoWriMo too!!! I'm so in. I am revising my second book THE OPPOSITE OF GRAVITY but the catch is that *squee* TOUCHING THE SURFACE launches in a couple weeks (October 30th) As awesome as this is, it's really easy to focus just on preparing for that, so I want that revision done by Dec. 1st!!!! Keep me on track!
