I am more than halfway through my revision and have about 70 pages to concentrate on between now and Oct. 31 to meet my first goal of finishing the revision by the end of October. Going to tackle this in Snickers bar-sized chunks. :) Cheering for each of you!

Thank you, Amy! Will need either Snickers bars or coffee to keep me fueled tonight. :)

Not doing too bad--I'm 2/3 of the way through mapping out my revision and almost ready to start tackling it. I'm not too far off on what I need to do for the book launch in 2 weeks and I've signed up to draft book 3 for NaNoWriMo!!!!

Grrrr sorry I wasn't logged in the first time. I'm doing well and I'm about 2/3 of the way through my note taking and mapping of my revision. Almost ready to make the changes. I'm not too far off the mark for my book launch in 2weeks. Getting excited. :o) AND I signed up to draft book 3 for NaNoWriMo. It's sort of insane, but I think it might be just what I need to not get too sucked into the whole book launch thing.

Are you planning on making the revisions before NaNo? That's a crazy time-crunch! Nano is just the thing to kick our butts into gear, I think. Hope your book launch is going well! It's definitely on my tbr list.

I don't think I'll get the revision done, but I often find that some self-imposed timelines do wonders for me LOL! I'm just gonna try to do both LOL!

Only two more weeks 'til your book launch - yay!!

That's great you are able to buckle down and still work. Sometimes that month before can be kind of hard. :)

My goal is to finish--and edit--a novel during this time period.

I'm plugging along. I'm 58,474 words into what I estimate to be a 112,500 word book.

My biggest problem is self-doubt. I've started paper journaling as a way to try to focus on problems and face them head-on. Hope it helps enough for me to succeed. :)

Are you editing as you go along? For me personally, that's the best way to slow progress. I find it better to get the draft down, then you have the whole picture before you start revising. The way I see it is that I don't want to waste time revising something that may be totally cut once I look at the big picture. But, of course, everyone has their own process. Good luck! You can do it!

No, I'm not editing as I go. The plan is to finish the rough draft and then go through an edit to make it fit for beta readers' eyes.

Thank you.

Don't let the doubt have to get in your head. Get those words on the page and let your self editor in later. (((hugs))) You can do it!

I haven't done anything. I ended up getting revision notes on the Vampirina sequel and that took all my writing time in the last couple of weeks (have had lots of family things, too).

I should be back to normal next week and we'll see what I can do.

Yay for a Vampirina sequel! Revision should count as part of your goal!

Good luck next week!
