I have been, for several months now, tinkering with the idea of going Mac based largely on a lot of the positive feedback of our (the company I work for) customers. I even went to the Mac page to see about "building" one (I use the term "building" loosely as you don't have too many options to pick from. Processor, hard drive size and total RAM and that's about it.) Though I receive a discount from Apple through work, I had to laugh at is because off of a brand new $1400 machine it only knocked off $70 (but then again every bit helps.) I'm in no huge rush to get a new comp but like you an upgrade is looming in the future and so I am keeping eyes open. Still interesting read. Interesting and scary, with just a touch of laugh-at-the-stupid-people funny.
