I've heard numerous people bemoan that Christmas this year didn't quite feel like Christmas. I suppose a drowning economy contributed; money stress fuels family stress, and being more conscious about purchasing decisions, while healthy, probably doesn't have the same feel as Christmases past

That's wonderful. My Christmas was lovelier (and shorter) than usual this year. And I've got a whole week to contemplate whatever I want and get the personal work done that I need to do. The coming year will be interesting if nothing else. All kinds of new things are ready to be tried. Things like discipline and intentional change. Giving multiple chances and continuing to base who I am on what I want to be, rather than what I don't want to be. Ah, I also have aunthood on the horizon. I can't wait!

i want to come over for eggs benedict too!
