Huzzah for austerity!

I have been using Jay's terminology of "Frugal February" to convince myself that I can't spend money. It's been going on a month and a half longer than February, but that's a good sign, right? Good luck, and hurray for recession-proofing ourselves!

Hehe. I like the term "recession-proofing". It sounds like weather-proofing to me. Winter coming? Go around and weather-proof all the windows. Hard times coming? Recession-proof your job and spending.

May I suggest tutoring? It is rather lucrative.

It never seemed worth the hassle before. It's a lot per hour, but doesn't it take a lot of legwork to get each hour?

That said, in my current situation (needing minimal employment, plenty of spare time) it might make sense.

It's true! I was thinking about going to Burning Man, but for a couple of reasons it doesn't seem likely to work out...

Were you, now? I've been thinking-about-it-but-it-doesn't-seem-likely, too. Maybe next year, yes yes?

Maybe. If I keep working in Elections it's problematic, since Burning Man tends to fall right after the August Primary.
