I just got a visit from a kid selling magazines. He's short, skinny, black and has some sort of deformity on his chest, like the pectoral version of a hunchback. It is totally exhausting dealing with all the crap in the world - but I am really glad you talked with that kid and gave him some good information. I bet he will remember it, even if he doesn't use it right away.

I applaud you for taking the time to help him out even a little bit by letting him warm up, feeding him and giving him a coat. Plus I'll bet venting about his situation at least helped even if he doesn't take the initiative to find a ride home to Florida right away ( ... )
