Comedy Central censored South Park's depictions of Mohammed

I think it's complete and utter BS that Comedy Central censored the South Park episode. If we start censoring every little bit of speech that hurts someone's feelings or might offend someone or someone's religion, the USA will friggin' turn into Canada.

Mind you, Canada is a nice country and all. But when it comes to free speech, it is completely lacking.

It is the West's responsibility to stand up for free speech. South Park has thus far taken no prisoners and has put out material offensive to just about everyone.

It is pure and utter horsehit for a network to allow iconoclastic lampooning of pretty much every world religion, but to then censor a lampoon that involves one religion in particular. It is their prerogative of course, but I have lost a lot of respect for comedy central for this decision.

There is a right to free speech. There is no right not to be offended. The correct course of action is trivially obvious, and it's disappointing that a company that exists for the propagation of speech couldn't figure that out.
