This was just stunning and I fear this isn't enough to encapsulate what you just wrote but seriously, can you take over the show?

Aww, bb. It was such a pleasure to write this for you. Thank you for continuing to be so supportive and the patience you had in waiting for it. I really enjoyed the experience of spending time with these two.

This is basically everything I've ever wanted from the show, but so much more beautiful. UGH, MY BABIES. ;_; Thank you for writing this. I only wish the writers would see sense and include moments like these.

Gwen looks back at him with tears in her eyes, Excalibur under her fingertips, embodying so much of the future and having born witness to the past, of the quiet deed that gave her this day, of an extraordinary boy and the girl who could grant him anything.

Don't mind me, I'll just be in the corner sobbing for hours on end.

Wow! Thank you for such an amazingly lovely comment. I'm on such a Merlin/Gwen kick at the moment. It's rather nice to share the squee with others. :)

The noises that came out of my mouth when I was reading this. SERIOUSLY, BB. Just write the show, okay? It's so brilliantly poetic and quirky and so full of all these different, conflicting, wonderfully colluding emotions that my body just couldn't handle without clutching a pillow. You know how much I love it when you make things, anyway, but this. UGH. THIS. You know a fic is great when you can still quote it the next day, and I was sitting here thinking about that line that basically sums up all my feelings about Gwen/Gwen and Arthur/Gwen and Merlin - "Merlin wonders if there is anything about Gwen that isn’t unconditional ( ... )

BB. This just. Aw man. Why do you have to be so sweet? All this love is killing me. I don't even know what to say. And, look at you, pointing all these details. You're like a writer's dream reader. Well. The dancing lessons story is coming up next, bb. I promise.

OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!!!!

I adore this fic so much! I just loved the way you have captured the essence of Gwen and Merlin's friendship! It is something that I have missed from this series although we have gotten little scenes! And like Piper said I loved that while Arthur and Morgana weren't in this fic you could feel their presence so much!

The last section was by far my fav! I hope we get a scene like that where Gwen sees what happened to the sword her father made that she gave to Merlin all those years ago to save Arthur.

Thank you so much! It was quite a blast to write. Perhaps next series we'll get Gwen recognizing that this is the same sword she gave to Merlin in series one. I think the showrunners avoided her recognizing it, because it would necessitate questions on Gwen's part about Merlin, and it would be hard not to have him reveal his magic to her after that. Or that's how I fanwank it at least.

Luckily for me, I didn't have much of a problem using that as one of the ways/reasons he'd eventually reveal his magic to her. Actually, I think a Gwen/Merlin magic reveal is overdue at this point. It would only make things more interesting if she knew, especially since she's queen now.

Eek. Sorry for the word vomit. Your comment got me thinking. :P
