Okay, I do have to say... that icon of yours: DAYUM. It's actually my headcanon that Merlin sports the scruff look in his court sorcerer days. ;)

God, this fic was just amazing! It was sad, yet filled with so much love, family and friendship, like sunrayravine said above. It was perfectly balanced and seeing Merlin's deep relationship with Arthur's daughters brought tears to my eyes.

The flashback of Arthur joining in on Elaine and Ariane's yearly birthday party for Merlin was one of my favourite bits! But the ending was just perfect! Gwen/Merlin is one of my favourite friendships on the show and I was so pissed off with series 5 and the lack of scenes they had, especially after Arthur had died. So that made me cry tears of joy to see them still friends right at the end.
