Jon, do you have an MLS? I was thinking the other day about going back to school, and wondered whether you might have any advice for me regarding what to look for in a library and information science program.

No, I don't. I intend on getting one, eventually, when I know where I'll be living for a longer period of time for certain.

From what I know, it is a Master's degree, and requires a Bachelors. A lot of colleges have satellite schools that offer the degree, Also, if you happen to be working for a library, they will more often than not either subsidize you, or really work your schedule to avoid conflicts. I know that when I was in Oklahoma, they would help with the cost, and offered a better job after graduating. Though it was a pretty awesome place to work anyway.

It's a funish job, of course customer service will always suck at times, but the degree I was after had me working behind the scenes processing books.

Um, I can't think of anything else. It's a cool idea, and let me know how it goes. I personally dread taking the GMAT. --shivers--

They require the GMAT rather than the GRE? Huh. I wonder if that differs by school or anything. I was looking at the MLIS program offered by the College of St. Catherine and it looked as though they required the GRE but not the GMAT. The GRE is a chore, but it isn't awful. The general section, anyway.

Thanks.
