Today I ordered Carcassonne Big Box and War of the Ring. I've been playing Arkham Horror at a friends house almost every week and enjoy the experience quite a bit, so I hopped on the BoardGameGeek website and spent about an hour reading though reviews and descriptions of games until I found the one I wanted. Not content with merely one $50 game

Carcasonne is excellent! It's one of those games that's great for introducing to people who don't normally play tabletop games. My parents and brothers loved it! It works well with two people, but is better with four or more.

Awesome! The reviews were good, and it was referred to as a good entry level game, so I was optimistic. It has all the expansions, but we'll probably try the original until we get the hang of it. Do you have any other suggestions of similar games that are fun?

Another game I love similar to Carcassonne is Settlers of Catan. It needs four players but is a nice not-too-complicated 1-2 hour board game.

In other news, I still hate the phone. Ick. I think it may have tried to hurt me when I was little. You know how phones get when they're drunk. So that's why I haven't called.
