1. If you wish to dye your hair a 'wildly unnatural color' then it's not going to be low-maintenance; meaning that you will have to redye it more often than if you went with a regular color. Highlights might be easier, and these can also be bought where you find the other hair dye crap in the store.
2. If you pick up a box of dye (I like Garnier), there are detailed instructions in the box, especially designed for first-time hair-dyers. If you do pick a color that's really different from your own, leave it on longer than what it says...at least 20 minutes longer
3. You won't have as much to dye if you cut your hair first, so it would be easier.
4. Um...I would be careful if you decided on this. A lot of the dyes advise against this...probably cause they might be sued. Just be careful to avoid the general eye area.
5. Yep, already answered that. I get mine at Wal Mart but you can find them anywhere.
6. Um...well you'll probably know later on, hehe.

Have fun devirginizing your hair!

And as I am someone with really dark hair, I know that if you want the colour on the box, you will need to either bleach your hair or dye it platinum blond first (even though your hair is pretty light as it is). Most real hair dyes have a sort of colour chart on the box that show "if your hair is such-and-such shade before dyeing it with this, it will turn out like this other colour), but the boxes of weird colours I've seen tend to not have those ( ... )
