Also, I need more of you in my life. When can you come visit?! <3

Thanks, I decided to still make it.
I dunno. This week has been crazy, and I couldn't even get off to see my sister this weekend. Friday morning is going to be my first time where I don't have something due right away and no work till night. But once I don't need money as desperately, I'll come up. I miss you guys.

I really don't think children are sensitized to this kind of thing when they're young. They'll appreciate it when they're older though. I think you should stick with the homemade gifts. If you buy them something from the story they may love it for a little but ultimately discard it. And at least you're sticking to your guns.

Make the bed. I am with Mariel on this, even if she doesn't appreciate it today, down the road she will. I had a baby doll cradle that my grandpa made me and when I was little I used to trip over it all the time and hit my foot on it but now that I know he made it for me especially to fit a doll him and my grandma gave me, it is really special.
