Great Grandmothers.

One of my great grandmothers died the weekend before last, the other one died today. They were both totally awesome ladies that were extremely active until they died. Just out of curiosity, how old were they? As far as I know, I've never known anyone who had great grandparents still (or recently) living. I hope I'll be a really cool old lady, too.

One was 87 and the other was 97, so they lived a good long time. The one that was 97, Mae, was the one that died today. Hazel died not this past weekend, but the one before. They were my step great-grandparents, but in all honesty, my step families have been more of a family to me in every sense than my actual families have.

I've also decided to go on a roller coaster because grandma Hazel was always trying to get me to do it. And hey, if a 87 year old woman can do it, so can I. (I'm terrified of heights and refuse to get on them)
