This reminds me of something that I read in a local paper; I don't know if it's an urban myth, though.
Reportedly, some people from my home town bought a puppy of rare species of dogs in Russia and brought it home. The puppy was growing rapidly and began to develope some nasty habits. It was always snarling at its masters, and couldn't be trained to keep the appartement free of animal excrements, as hard as they tried.
So the guys met a vet to show him the pet, and guess what they've been told: Their beloved, but somewhat misbehaving, rapidly growing "puppy" was a bear cub. I've been laughing my ass off when I read this story.
I had a suspicion it was too good to be true. Ah, well, I'll have to console myself with mainfisch's bear cub. (Which sounds too good to be true as well, but don't check it up, OK?)
