Wow, that's an absolutely terrible thing for your mother to put forth. I completely understand, trust me I have had eerily similar 'conversations' with my mother, but those sorts of utterances are enough to really fuck a person over, and I hope you can still see yourself beyond it, you know what I mean? It's so hard to get a more balanced view of who you are and what you can do, where you can go, the joys of living that you can experience, when confronted by someone's verbal imprisonment that can by psychologically internalized into a true, active self-imprisonment. Um, I am not sure if I'm making sense, I'm about to have a course on monkeys so my friend and I just smoked a lot of weed, but point being...you are still always free, and being able to talk to someone about the sorts of conversations you just had, and being able to talk to someone who encourages your mobility and freedom, just speaking from personal experience, that's invaluable. As is actually living away and really feeling that happiness once you're gone

that is a shitload of snow! we usually get that much a few times through the winter but this year we've only had a giant snowfall like that once. *knock on wood*
Eeek! I can't imagine bearing this degree of snowfall more than once a year! Or once a decade! We haven't had this much snow at once since 1996. SERIOUSLY. :P

I have been thinking of you, too. :\ I miss you so much. I can't tell you how much it tears at my heart that we weren't able to meet before - you know, a few months ago.

snow looks beautiful in picture form but it's such a nightmare logistically. hope you're all okay and don't get stranded anywhere x
