Israelis Decide to Live: Return Netanyahu's Coalition to Power

Mar 18, 2015 07:03

Yesterday, Israeli voters faced an important choice.  They could vote out Bibi Netanyahu's Likud Party and thus win approval from American and European leaders -- at the price of putting the future of their country and people at the not-so-tender mercies of the Islamists, with their only hope being that said American and European leaders would ( Read more... )

I'm well-pleased. It is unsettling to have to hope that another country will protect us, but I have faith in Netanyahu's good sense.

The sad thing is that America, under Obama, is at best helpless. At worse, he's trying to direct our power in such a fashion as to make the world situation even more dangerous. I honestly don't know any more if Obama is doing this out of genuine malice, or an ignorance of how the world works which is so profound it might as well be malice.

I wish the Republican Party had the balls to aim for impeachment. Biden would actually be an improvement on Obama -- at least he would be unlikely to do more damage. And Obama should be publicly and constitutionally taken down as a deterrent to any future President who would administer with such arrogant incompetence.

I've always thought of Stupid, Insane, and Evil as being distinct properties, but which nevertheless converge into a triple point and become indistinguishable, the more extreme you get in any of them.

The same phenomenon exists with respect to virtues in the saintly individual, but you don't really see them in politics or the news media.

Indeed. To wit ...

Even if Obama wants Islam to win, how does he imagine letting Iran have atomic weapons will achieve this end? All this will accomplish is to make the Mideast the center of a multi-lateral atomic war.

Considering that the Obama Administration already leaked Israel's Azerbaijan plan, Israel will likely have to go nuclear pre-emptively.

Ah well.

That was perhaps the most idiotic thing we could have done. We could have turned the plan down without leaking it. By leaking it, Obama has guaranteed that not only Israel, but any and all of our regional allies, in the Mideast or elsewhere, won't run their plans by us first the next time.

It it's true that I do, how would this make any of my statements false? The problem even with successful ad hominem is that it still proves nothing.

It proves how hypocritical you are.

How would my being "hypocritical" be relevant to the points I made? I mean, you could also analyze my diet and prove that I like cheeseburgers more than is good for my cholestorol levels; this would be about as relevant to my analysis of the implications of the Israeli elections.

Anyway, Mystery Commentator, who's the anti-Semite with whom I associate, and what's the actual point of your attempt to show yourself to be an idiot who can't keep on topic?
