American Horror Story Season 2
Here be spoilers
Ok so the computer I am currently using only had the second half of season 2 on it, so that's all I watched. That having been said, with American Horror Story the episodes are ok to watch even if you don't have any idea what's going on. Also pretty sure no one on my friend's list even watches this show, but whatever, I wanted to make a post.
Things I loved:
Kit/Alma/Grace: I really wish we could've seen more of their first two years together as a family. I think it would've made Alma's breakdown over Grace's obserssion with the aliens more poignent, and also just what little we did see was AWESOME and so, so much better than anything the Kit/Grace storyline put out previously. Although it was kind of weird how, when Grace died, neither Kit nor Alma worried or hoped she'd come back to life again.
The Angel of Death: Pretty much everything about that story line was perfection, I especially loved her and Jude sitting in the coffeehouse discussing all the times Jude and her met before. Also her complete lack of judgement over everyone. And her wings. And her overall look.
Sister Mary Possessed by the Devil: I didn't even get to see her as a good little nun beforehand, and I still got chills.
Kit and Lana's friendship: Kit on his own annoyed me quite a lot because he was so whiney and needy, but raising kids with Alma & Grace or being BFFs with Lana, he was easily the most interesting character on the show. I love how he just DOES NOT COMPUTE when Lana gets a swelled head.
Jude's final 6 months: Touching & well-deserved
Pepper: She was my favorite character even though I only saw her in like 2 episodes.
The timeline & story format this season: It was a total rip-off of LOST, but who cares? Flashing both backwards and forwards was much more interesting than last season's modern day story line
Things I am ambivalent towards:
The Aliens: WHAT KIND OF HALF-ASSED SHIT WAS THAT?! If you're going to have a storyline about aliens and not actually show them, at least explain what they were doing.
Dr. Thredson: I only found him two dimensional when he was freaking out over Lana aborting his child.
The Lesbian Story: Way waaay worst than Glee., The dead evil lesbian stereotype lives on.
Things I hated::
Alma ending up in Briarcliff. This is another reason they should've focused more on Kit/Grace/Alma, because I want to know how the hell that happened. Did Kit actually call the cops on her? Because I can't really see that happening. Did she call the cops on herself? Because I can't really see her willingly leaving the kids behind.
Dr. Arden/Sister Mary: All I really saw of their relationship was Devil!Mary sniping at him and then him crying pathetically. It got old after a while. He was only interesting to me when he was talking to Pepper.
