So when people are writing screenplay's for film companies, such as Warner Brother's and Paramount aren't they wanting their film to achieve the Best Film award? In other words isn't a movie writer's highest aspiration to win the Best Film at the Oscars? Wouldn't that give them the greatest satisfaction? Little quote from one of the guys at Bungie:

"If you believe what you're creating is absolutely the greatest thing ever all the time, it won't be."

I guess what they're trying to achieve is to make something that's enjoyable, or makes you think. They are trying to make an awesome movie. Awards and such are probably the last thing on their minds. They're shooting a great, awesome movie. If they try to make a movie specifically for an award, then it's going to suck balls.

I think they try to relax. Do what they do best. And if what they do best is good enough, then they win =)
