( I have a bad habit of having only very VAGUE plans for my adventures up until the point when it's time to 'go to press.' I wonder if a creative person might be able to help me come up with some suitable ideas. ;) Or just be amused by my stupid adventures. )

Some sort of jumping-focused cliff-parkour course would seem to be the sort of things a bunch of intelligent frogs would be in to.

As long as the frogs aren't requiring proof that the marriage has be consummated, Beauty would be a viable option, provided that the shaman doesn't nix her as a candidate...

Hmm. Cliff parkour course does sound pretty cool, and it's something I could conceivably represent on the table (only rotated 90 degrees ;) ) to indicate the participants' progress ( ... )

The PCs seem big on thwarting your expected plotlines, but then again, they seem content to follow Ivan's leadership, so... Hmm. The possibility of treasure might help. Perhaps the treasure should be on display so their greed can hold them from running off ( ... )

Re: ArrowThe arrow bit is on one level a reference to the original "Frog Princess" fairy tale (at least the Russian version). In-game, I had to deal with the typical bit of "I do this!" "Let's do this instead!" "But you already did that other thing." "No we didn't!" "But he already rolled for it and I told him the result of that -- you can't retcon that now!" "But I would've stopped him." "ARGH!" It got especially twisty way back at the beginning when the group got attacked by some wolf shapeshifters and it was a mess of "I slit the throats of any survivors!" "I loot!" "I skin the bodies!" and I can't even get a word in edgewise to finish my narration of the wolf shapeshifter changing back into a human form. I imagine this flurry of throat-slitting, pelt-skinning, body-looting mayhem, and wonder if there should be a risk of anyone losing a finger in the chaos ( ... )

Oh boy. :) "Okay, you're in the process of skinning the body when you realize you're holding a human skin. Roll for sanity loss."

Yeah, I was seriously about to go with that route, but unfortunately, I ran into a bit of a meta problem, with players getting angry that things were not turning out as they imagined it should unfold ( ... )
