Hello. I'd like to respond to your ad for comments. I figure anyone who has to be as secretive as all that must be a delight to read the daily exploits of (Also? Please forgive me for ending that last sentence with a preposition. It's just that I refused to alter my tenuous reasoning in any way from the pure pool of thought from which it emerged like Venus on her pearlescent half-shell, so the English language was the one to suffer, as usual.).

Sadly, my exploits are pretty banal, especially now that my life is given over to teaching and my PhD hunt. (The secrecy is mostly for professional reasons.)

That's because we haven't been! See how easy everything is once truth and logic come into the mix? So, yeah . . . Um, hi! My name is Marianne. I hail from Cincinnati Ohio and I teach people too, only I teach them how to kick jackasses to curb because I work in a Domestic Violence shelter as a counselor. My favorite color is green and I have a penchant for Diet Coke. I'd like to be a vigilante someday but that might be in large part because of my job . . . What do you teach? Where are you hunting?

That clears that up.
Hello. My name is Jordan (S.C.). Originally from Frankfort, KY, I now live in Cincinnati and teach freshman composition (elsewhere). This semester I have three sections of Composition and Literature.
I applied to literature programs at opposite ends of the country (for some odd reason), so now I'm looking at University of California Davis, CUNY Graduate Center, and University of Florida. I have a lot of traveling to do this month.
My favorite food is saag paneer (spice level 8 or 9) and I almost always wear a hat (bowler, beret, or driving cap, depending on weather and mood).
How, exactly, did you come upon my journal? I haven't received a random comment in a dog's age (especially since my profile has been pared down to nothing).
I like reading your comments on rohmie's journal. Any chance I can be on the list? I don't think we ever met while we were both in Louisville, though I knew who you were, and I'm in Seattle now. I almost never post to my own journal and pretty much use livejournal as a way to keep up with a couple of Louisville people.
Your blog looks nice, even so it would be far better if you’ll be able to use lighter colors too as a professional design. This will make sure that a lot more readers come to check it out.Informative post by the way!
