There are, unbelievably, two, maybe three or four photo posts pending. But in the meantime, here's another music post to see us through.
I'm currently on a Ukrainian bent, trying to absorb all things Ukrainian. Quite by accident I've discovered a rather fine band called
Lama (or if you don't speak Ukrainian,
the useful part of the site is here. I quite like their music videos too, so here's a couple of samples:
First up, "Z tym, koho l'ubyla" (at least, I think that's it - I couldn't find any reference to it on the band site but lots of other places say it's theirs). Apparently that means "With the One I Loved". I have no idea what she's really singing - it could be a song wishing for an orange-squeezer for all I know - but the music video is stylish and the sound is good. I love that bar:
I'm also really enjoying the sound of "Meni tak treba" ("I need so" - thank you, Wikipedia) - their most popular song. It's devilishly catchy; I'm going to be singing the chorus to this for days:
More videos are hidden away on the band website - quite a lot of videos, in fact.
Quite how I'm going to order a CD of this I don't know. It was hard enough ordering from Amazon Germany last time, but at least I recognise the alphabet in German.
