at least we didn't spend too much time on it (it was more of an afterthought at the end of the semester) but I really hate that some people actually consider ebonics a Real Language. I appreciate anthropology as a fascinating study of people I don't know or understand, but it's times like this when I know it's really bullshit. no no no, it is not

This reminds me of the time I was watching America's Next Top Model with my mom and I kept yelling "I hate the black chicks!" and she was all "You're racist", but it was only 'cause they were annoying and now my favorite girl lost her friend in the house so she's gonna buckle under pressure and she won't win! ...
