A lesson in what shits me most about peoples' LiveJournals.

What to do:

• Write things as you'd say them. I can't stress this any more. Things become so open to interpretation. If someone doesn't understand what you're saying, you're missing out on a number of points.
• Use punctuation. Apostrophes, capitalisation, commas, full stops and paragraphs.

Did you ever think that maybe people WANT their journals to be their OWN? They can do whatever they want with their journal, that's they it's theirs. I dont see how it's any of your concern, really. If you dont like looking at someone's journal then remove it from you list. Get real. Everyone doesn't want to be as plain as you.

I'm having to agree. Love you, Tim, but I break grammar and spelling rules when I choose to, and I enjoy it. Breaks up the monotony. It can be beautiful.

Rather than take the holier-than-thou stance, maybe you should set up a default filter. That's what I do.

I agree
a journal is reflective of someone's individuality. not everyone wants a plain grey website.
besides, you often complain and bitch about your life. It is your life and it is your journal, so you are allowed to do this. So are others. If you do not like something, ignore it.

Whilst I hate the misuse of grammar and spelling myself, I don't wholy agree on the following point:

Posting 3-4 times a day.

And I agree with the other posters:

Livejournals are an expression of individuality... if you don't wish to read about someone's bitching, then KISS -- take them off your friends list. That's what I do ;-)
