A friend said to me that there is something biblical in my work... Since then I've been considering what it means to be a performance artist, work with the body, use it for a medium in my art. In every piece, I offer my body to the audience in very direct ways. They can write on me, dress me up, choose my haircut, watch me starve myself down to Paris Hilton skinny, ask my advice, eat food I've prepared, get in bed with me to hear a story, watch me make artwork for them, decide who I date, and walk with me and tell me a story. My body becomes a site for dialog, engagement, and community interaction
