two flashfics that were meant to be oneshots.

The V Word

Through the warmth comfort in a cafe, Tiffany conversed with an old friend, Taeyeon. Few minutes ago, they were talking about something that they had forgotten about in the next five minutes. Right now, they were on the subject on annivesaries and valentines. Taeyeon supported the idea whereas Tiffany was against it whole heartedly.

She wrapped her fingers around the mug and quirked an eyebrow at her friend. “In my opinion, Valentines are stupid and useless.”

“How so?” Taeyeon asked interestedly, knowing Tiffany was full of opinions and knew better to not argue about it. The girl was almost against every normalcy in this society. Only if she wanted to. Like a little game she would pick on the days she felt bored.

“For instance, it just a mockery to all the other days. It’s like a one day effort only to show your love. But the thing, you should show it every fucking day. It’s not right to do it on one goddamn occasion. Everyday should be a celebration of your love for another. Because that kind of shit is real love. Not a forced love where you have to buy roses on a Valentines Day or whatever. Right? And also, you’re wasting your money.” Tiffany leaned back in the chair, bring the rim of the mug to her lips.

Taeyeon just nodded in understanding. It did make sense in Tiffany’s style. But still, she had a different opinion where she agrees that it is a nice to have a certain day to celebrate. Tiffany caught the attention of the waiter to refill her mug; the usual black coffee.

“What happens when you find someone who loves Valentine’s day, the 100th day, Christmas, and all of that?” A smirk tugging the corners of Taeyeon’s lips.

“Well, I wouldn’t be dating that someone.” Tiffany pursed her lips and shook her head as if Taeyeon’s question was the most ridiculous thing. She glanced at a couple who was at far end of the café, chattering and drank their drinks in intervals. Then she noticed a small cupid sticker on the wall, hiding between the frames. It was too early for Valentine’s Day. “I won’t even remember those certain dates.”

The playfulness in Taeyeon’s eyes grew as she knew where to press the right questions in Tiffany’s head even though the girl didn’t want to answer. Being a friend of hers for years, she could assume a lot of things were already probably running through Tiffany’s head. “Let’s say hypothetically, you do. What would you do? Would you change for that someone? Would you love anything but black coffee?”

Tiffany held up a finger in the air and wiggled a “No No” and then, she dropped her hand. She narrowed her eyes and placed her elbows onto the small table. “I wouldn’t change for anyone. I wouldn’t change me. I’m perfect. I could love anything but never more than black coffee. And there is no hypothesis in that regard. It doesn’t exist for me. In my world, that is.” The confident look showed on her face.

“I’m just saying. What if?” Taeyeon poked aimlessly at her pie with a fork.

“There is not what if. Never.” Tiffany emphasized on the last word. She laughed shortly after that.

Slightly disappointed in her, Taeyeon just sighed in defeat and drank the remains of her green tea. The girl wouldn’t budge a simple answer. And it frustated her at times when something like this happens. But she had a feeling the universe was going to be on her side and play a cruel joke on Tiffany’s part. When that day comes, she would cackle in her friend’s face.

Her hand on her tensed stomach, Taeyeon couldn’t stop laughing in triumphant over her friend, Tiffany, finding someone who loved everything which she despised. Literal little tears were pushed out, and Taeyeon wiped it with a swipe of her finger.

“What’s her name?” She asked in a short breath, muscles still taut.

Tiffany refused to look at her friend, and eventually muttered a name she would love so to say everyday, “Jessica.”

Baby Got Back (Characters from Tag Sale & Discipline)

They were strolling around in town, window shopping, planting kisses on each other’s lips in public at every chance they get. They did not care for the stares shooting in their direction. They were simply in love and no one could ever stop them.

Crazy in love.

The kind of love that makes everyone want to strangle Tiffany and Jessica. The kind of love that even both of them want to strangle each other. But whatever kind of love they had, it was possibly the best and worst thing that happened to them.

Right now, Tiffany’s love for Jessica was that of; to strangle the girl for being so indecisive. Jessica took her sweet time in browsing through the clothes. Not that Tiffany didn’t love clothes, she just didn’t understand why anyone has to figure it out what they want for so long.

“Have you found what you want yet?”

Jessica didn’t hear her. She held up both dresses in front of her. “Which one?”

“Whatever you like.” Tiffany crossed her arms. Jessica frowned and then rolled her eyes.

“You’re not helping. Which one looks better on me? And please don’t say, ‘you’ll look better without clothes’ crap.”

“Firstly, try it on. Secondly, it is true.” Tiffany smiled. “Go to the fitting room.”

“Fine.” Jessica huffed. “Care to join?” She arched her brow teasingly. Inside, Tiffany screamed yes and almost joined her. Almost.

“GO.” She suddenly became interested in looking at her own feet. If she were to join her……….. No, she told herself.

“Suit yourself, puppy.” Jessica smirked a little. Like a little devil kitten, she pretended to not know where her phone was, “Where’s my phone?” She asked in a fake voice and then slipped her hand in her back pocket. Her body arched a little so her derriere became more noticaeble “Oh, here!” She winked at her girlfriend and waved the phone in the air.

Ofcourse, Tiffany stared. Jessica knew how much Tiffany adored her back view. I hate you. I hate you.

In the end, Jessica ended up buying both dresses. They were on their way home until Jessica stopped at her tracks. Tiffany sighed in resignation, knowing the girl would enter another store.

“Baby store.”

“What about it?”

“Let’s go inside. The clothes are so cute.”

Before Tiffany could protest, Jessica was already pulling her into the store with her. And all throughout the half hour, Jessica squealed like a little girl. Her eyes lit up at every small dresses that were on the rack. Admittingly, Tiffany did have her moments. Everything was small in sizes, it brought a weird joy in her.

“Oh my god, Tiffany. Look. New born baby clothes. They are so small.” Jessica held up the tiny clothes in mid air, admiring the cuteness of it. A smile stretched across Tiffany’s lips.

For a moment, she imagined Jessica as a mother. A very beautiful mother with a beautiful baby in her arms. What a sight, Tiffany sighed in content and kept quiet. Then a thought of raising children together entered her mind. Quickly, she brushed it off.

The smile on Jessica’s face was the kind of look Tiffany had never seen before. It brought her a warmth feeling in her chest. Surrounded by baby clothes, for the first time, Jessica gave out of a sense of vulnerability in her. A complete opposite of her current character.

Tiffany couldn’t help but to see the smile again one more time. So she said, “Let’s buy the hat. For the fun of it.”

“Really?” Jessica glanced up with a widening smile.

“Get the pink one.”

Tiffany took a step inside the apartment and with innate sense, she knew that there was something wrong that is about to happen. True to her senses, a cloth was used to cover her eyes quickly. She couldn’t see, and all her shopping bags were dropped to the floor.

“Who the - .” But another cloth was soon shoved into her mouth. She continued to make muffled sounds and flailed her arms. And her arms were then pulled behind, and a cloth binded her hands together tightly. Her mind was swimming of possibilities getting killed.

Unwillingly, tears started to come out. Her legs buckled and she was down on her knees.  Then she felt those fingertips grazing her cheek, and a sudden realization dawned on her.

Jessica.

Her eyebrows knitted together in annoyance, and she stopped crying. Jessica let out a laugh. “Aw, puppy.” She pulled out the cloth and tossed it off, disgusted. “Did I scare you?”

“You bitch!”

“Your bitch. Oh wait, your my puppy. So that’s make you..”

“Shut up, Jess. Take this thing off me.” Tiffany writhed in displeasure. The cloths were starting to rub on her skin. No answer from Jessica. “Kitten, please?” She could imagine the corners of Jessica’s lips pulled down, disappointed.

“You told that you wanted something like this. Dangerous and fun.”

Tiffany swallowed, didn’t think what she said could be taken literally. But Jessica was Jessica. Whatever Jessica likes, she gets it. This game was of her interest now. And Tiffany started to get excited. “What are you wearing?”

“Nothing.”

Super excited. “Take this cloth off me.” She demanded. Not because of the darkness, but because Jessica was naked. Who would not want to see that? A dead person probably. No wait, no one. She couldn’t touch her or see her. This was becoming unbearable for her to take. At least, she could hear Jessica’s voice dropping to a sultry silken whisper. It was enough for her. (for now)

“It wouldn’t be fun, would it?” Jessica hushed into Tiffany’s ear and then planted a soft kiss on her cheek. Then Tiffany could hear Jessica’s footsteps moving away from her.

“Wait. Are you going to leave me here?” Tiffany asked, baffled.

Jessica laughed and then said, “That’s for almost punching me in the face. Be back in ten minutes.” To Tiffany’s frustration, Jessica really did take ten minutes to be a major sadist.
