It was Snarry for me. The complex Harry/Severus relationship was, at all times, the center of the story. I'll call that Snarry anytime.

LOL! Joanwilder and the Mod certainly thought so as well. Otherwise I would have been told to change the story. :-)

It seems I wrote something a little controversial. The story is running the gamut of feedback from "I adore it!" to "This is not a Snarry!"

I haven't read the fic yet, but I have read this:

And now I'll make sure that I make time for your fic ASAP. :D

It's not a classic Snarry. The plot isn't the much-loved but somewhat predictable situation of Snape and Harry fighting and snarking and gradually coming to love one another, ending with an implication of happy-ever-after.

Instead, it's a much more complex story about a relationship between Snape and Harry which is complex and not particularly romantic (although in the dark with Zambini and Snape, Harry understandably feels something sexual in his intense feelings towards and about Snape).

It is also beautifully written and a classic example of why I treasure your writing.

Thank you. I did want to do something different. As for the infamous sex scene...Harry is getting off on Severus, who is certainly seeing to it that Harry is getting all hot and bothered. The problem is that he can't touch Harry and Harry needs to be touched. Not just for the cleansing, but because his 'soul' needs to be touched. He's hungry for all sorts of things and he's unsatisfied because life is not the banquet it should be for him...not even a before-bed-snack. Snape can't cleanse him and leave him hungering. So he calls in someone who can touch Harry, at least physically.

BTW: we all know how Blaise feels about Snape, but nowhere does Snape indicate his feelings for Blaise. Interesting how some readers assumed that he returned Blaise's feelings to the same degree.

That makes sense. Plus, given that Blaise has been there all along, he clearly acts as Snape's surrogate hands (and other physical interfaces with the outside world). Given that most of us are solidly in the "Snape is GOOD, dammit" camp, it seems a reasonable assumption that Snape cares for him ( ... )

Sequels...

I have tried a few, but then they get bogged down and I fear that they will never live up to the original. If I had Kaiz back as my beta, I might be more tempted to try, but she's back in school until the end of the summer. After that, who knows?

I liked it.

But for me, since a long time, it's clear you could pair Snape's Broom with Dumbledores most hilarious robe - and I would probably give it a go... because which pairing ever, in which fandom ever, you MAKE ME BELIEVE. In every one of your stories I read (and I think there really aren't much I haven't!)I can settle down and just go with the flow. You take me on roads I never would have considered (Krycek/Skinner?? Oh, come ON, no way gg) and at the end I just can't believe I didn't see it before.. Count in the fact that you really know HOW to make language work and I'm hooked every time.
