A friend just called me and reminded me that is the only day when one can say, with a straight face:

I think it's adorable- not a groaner at all! (In this neighborhood, though, with Mexican flags flying from every car window and draped across every car hood, we skipped right over May 4th and headed right into el Cinco de Mayo.)

Ah, festival time! Here, we're celebrating the tulips, those brave enough to have survived this week's cold (summer two weeks ago, back to winter last week.)
