Having one of my standard crisis of confidence. Is success measured by the length of the climb and obstacles overcome, or is it the height one reaches?

Ahhh, and that's something your absolutely correct about which I didn't place in the equation . . . any given acheivement is nothing if it means you've abandoned your integrity or values along the way. This is something I struggle with; I find myself envious of people who can be a bit more flexible with the standards to which they hold themselves because they seem to be a little happier, a little less self-critical. (I used to be unsure of where I stood on things and HAVE made errors of judgement, but those errors are the basis for current self-imposed rules and personal standards of conduct ( ... )

Definitely not the height one reaches. I personally feal that success is measured both by how you feel about what you've done and how you've gotten there. Just be sure not to measure how you feal about what you've done compared against other people, only against your own morals.

In fact, I think that if a person is able to hold true to themselves and their morals, they are more successful than 95% of the people out there.
