I'm commenting as alex but alex has already commented!
I think that's really really cool.

My sister Laura studies the bible and her boyfriend pursues a christian way of thinking 24/7, he thinks about that sort of thing with focus and perhaps some resentment: why do 20 million australians let themselves be influenced in the 7 most important spheres of their lives by (mostly) man made top-down structures? (He's a good guy, tristan. he's national co ordinator for christian surfers.)
Family can be worked on, in terms of domestic violence and men who feel they have to be 'head of the household' etc, but with the others it's different.
Of course, it's lost on Laura, who says things like "Did you know that Jesus preached a system that was close to communism?"

Sorry!, what a meandering, illogical rant (trying not to say "random").

Do you want to play in a band?!?!?! That would be heeeaaappsss cool! Or maybe bring someone out or put on a show? Where would you start?

putting on shows! We are going to start doing some relaxed back yard gigs in Annandale, like acoustic + djs + a BBQ kinda deal (we'll put on some soysauges too). And plus some gigs at venues if we can get the contacts to do it.

I'd like to join a band some day, but I need to learn an instrument first. I discivered I am no good at singing or writing songs, but I wouldn't mind playing someone elses.

He didn't really preach something close to Communism, I don't think so anyways. His main thing was that people should not be selfish and look out for the well being of other people before themselves.

I think these things are of interest to everyone, not just Christians. Even if you don't believe in a god of any sort, people still let themselves be influenced by these 7 spheres of top down man made structures. But I guess most people seem to be happy as sheep following the herd.
