Costco is amazing. I love shopping there. The farmers' markets in my area all seem to take place on Sunday mornings, when I'm at work, so I'm never able to make it. But Costco is always there for me!
On the flip side, my Mom always goes overboard when she visits Costco and buys tons of fruit, waaaay more than we can eat, and half of it ends up getting thrown away. :(
Ya, Costco is definately more fun to shop fresh produce at then the supermarket =3 There's a farmer's market two towns over, but they operate for two hours every thursday morning. Who's free thursday mornings? o.0
Too much fruit? GET THEE AN ICE CREAM MAKER!
You can just cook/roast any fruit in danger of going bad and make an ice cream or sorbet out of it =D SO easy and yummy and guaranteed to get devoured almost immediately.
Or do regular baking. My dad bought a bag of d'anjou pears (which no one in the house eats...) and everyone forgot about them, so I ended up making a pear crisp out of them. THAT was certainly paid attention to...
