He's here! Yes, the baby has arrived and it's a boy ("and WHAT a boy! That's the umbilical cord, Homer. Oh.") We named him Jericho (I know what you're immediately thinking. Yes, like the wrestler. No, that's not why we picked the name). He was born yesterday, December 6th at 6:13pm. He was 6 pounds, 4 oz, 19 inches long, and scored real well on all ( Read more... )

A big congrats! :) So if his name is Jericho but not because of the wrestler...then may I ask why that name? Don't get me wrong, it's pretty cool. :)

We knew we wanted a J name, we wanted something a bit different, and all the other names either of us came up with from baby books were received with a "meh" from the other person. I am a huge wrestling fan, One day we were talking and and she said "Hey, how about Jericho as a first name?" My first reaction was "I really like the name, but everyone who knows me is going to make fun of me for naming my son after a wrestler." In the end we rationalized it as it's not "after" the wrestler, it just happens to be the same name.
