Just for once can I go through an entire day/night at home without hearing gun shots from somewhere in the distance and fearing a bullet will come through my window or wall and impale me in the head, that would be great.

I hear ya man...even my neighborhood is kinda going down the drain. One of my neighbors was pistol-whipped several weeks ago...and I live in a pretty decent area. It is really scary how prevelant violent crime is becoming in Orlando.
