For those of you who may not know this, but for the longest time, I have been having problems with my computer. Finally, my friend (and the guy I bought it from) Yehuda King took it back and said he would fix it. Hmm... I.T guy who works for US state department gets his storage area broken into and one of the things stolen is a computer... yeah, want to bet that someone is about to regret that pretty quickly. Assuming that it's just a random thief and not targeted.

Who's doing the shopping, you or Yehuda?
I also need a new box, and am presently SO out of touch with current HW that I'm just stuck on the choices. I know I want a machine strong enough to do serious SW development on.

Based on recent work-experience, I think I want something as powerful as the "Intel i5 2500" for a CPU. But what about the rest of the shit?
