Superbad is about two dudes who are best friends in high school. They do a lot of funny shit, and manage to have heartfelt moments between all the dick jokes. Most of the time I couldn't figure out if anyone was being sincere or not, and overall the most implausible thing about the movie was that Seth Rogen wrote

apparently Seth Rogan and his friend starting writing the script when they were 14 just to see if they could do it. So yeah...the characters are based on them.
