looking at the paper just now i saw there's a screening of Gone With the Wind. made me think. mostly that i've never actually seen Gone With the Wind. which made me think; there are quite a few popular movies that i've never seen that i probably should have at this point (keeping in mind that i worked at a movie store for 7 years

I only recently watched Citizen Kane after reading more about it in Kavalier&Clay, so I gave it a shot. I have to say I was amazed by what Orson Welles accomplished in creating that film. It is an incedible movie in regards to cinematography, while everything else seemed somewhat average to me. Many of the other movies I've seen but don't feel too strongly about, although you should see Psycho. As for musicals, I've seen a few but the only one that matters to me is "Yankee Doodle Dandy" starring the great James Cagney. I saw it when I was a kid and have always loved it. I guess the only one you SHOULD see is Citizen Kane, just to know you've seen it
