    My youngest brother, David, has been studying hyenas in Kenya since early last year.  My parents thought it might be fun to visit him out there as a family vacation, and I decided to go along.

I've been waiting for this. Nice blog, love the animal spelling corrections and references. I didn't understand your reference to mom and I not being patient enough for Office Space. Was that a game I forgot?

I'm not sure I got all the spellings correct as I was guessing on some of the animals and I wasn't able to find anything close to a "Koifu rat" (maybe David can correct that one).  Moreover, I'm fairly certain that my capitalization isn't entirely correct, as even the Wikipedia pages weren't entirely consistent.

"Office Space" was one of the movies we tried to watch in the cottage, the one that you two decided to skip out on in favor of sleep.

So far, I seem to be surviving the snow, but we'll probably get some more(!) on Monday.
