    This past week was the championship round of the regular Monday poker tournament.  People who had placed highly in previous weeks were awarded points, and the top 24 in total points were allowed entry into Monday's game.  My previous first and fifth place finishes were sufficient to allow me entry, so I went to play without even knowing what ( Read more... )

It does seem that my last couple of weeks have been relatively busy.  Here are some brief notes about what I've been up to.

( Monday Night Poker )

    Last night at karaoke, someone sang "Piece of My Heart" and I couldn't help but think that this could be something of a theme for The Legend of Zelda.

    Last Tuesday was the final week of the most recent trivia season at Frisco Grille & Cantina.  This meant that the highest scoring teams from the previous weeks were competing for some decent prizes (first prize = $400).  We were not among those teams, but we were still allowed to "play along" and, in fact, were eligible for the normal weekly ( Read more... )
