The power of words

My classmates say that we give too much power to words. But if words weren't as powerful as they are, then what would our lives be worth? There is a phrase in existence, a phrase we have given power to, that everyone in the world longs to hear. To some, it is the most painful phrase in the world. To others, it is more valuable than life itself.
