He wakes up to her naked figure pressed up against his own, the sunlight painting her skin in an immaculate display of colors. Trailing his finger tips across the skin of her shoulder, he learns that the sensation brings mild relief to the headache of hard liquor and convinces her eyes lids to open, flooding him with deep pools of green. He's certain he's drowning.
Reaching up to kiss him, they exchange aftertastes, imagining what it would be like to live this moment longer, to live it every morning, and they almost have it.
She smiles and quietly he laughs, drinking in as much of her light as possible before the moment is gone.
