It seemed like a good idea at the time, it really did and if he didn't know better and she did, they both would've agreed. Problem is, he did know better and she didn’t and so when she threw the fit, when she flew off the handle kicking, screaming and throwing stuffed, metal, plastic toys around, spanking just seemed like a good idea.
She's in her forties now, working for Josiah Bartlet (a good man though he has his suspicions) and despite the fact that he's slowly loosing his mind Tal still remembers sadly, shamefully the first (and last) time he ever laid a hand on Claudia Jean.
