Well, I've never really been driven by overwhelming passion before, so I have no need of utility or any other purpose to fill any voids. I'm just content.

I think that's the problem. I've always felt compelled by something. Now it is gone I am really at a loss as to the relevence of doing most everything.

Sometimes I get up because I have to, mostly I get up because I want to.

I don't think anyone is driven by passion all the time, we probably vacillate on a continuum between that and utility.

Losing purpose? What to do? Lose attachment to purpose as well, deliberately keep that vessel empty and see what flows in.

PS it's 7am, today is my first day back at work and I got up because I have to. Thus the total lack of fluid profundity.

Yeah, my friend said society has conditioned many of us to believe we have some purpose. Problem is, without purpose I will start to fall out of society.
